Yu Ong Ching is a Malaysian political communication practitioner and digital strategist with over a decade of experience in national electoral politics.
He has been part of DAP's digital communication efforts across three consecutive General Elections — GE13, GE14, and GE15 — working on narrative design, real-time sentiment tracking across multi-ethnic electorates, and crisis response during high-stakes political transitions.
In 2013, he co-founded Ubah.TV, Malaysia's first live political broadcast platform — built at a time before Facebook supported native streaming, as a direct channel to reach voters and circumvent the constraints of state-aligned media.
He has also administered the Langkah Sheraton NFT project, a politically significant digital asset initiative, serving as DAO secretariat and managing asset custody, governance, and accounts. More recently, he has advised on AI integration within public service frameworks as Senior Advisor (Government Affairs) at Zhipu Malaysia.
He holds a Master of Public Administration from Tsinghua University, where his thesis examined the role of political communication in winning public support for policy reform — with a focus on GST reform in Malaysia, supervised by the Dean of the School of Public Policy and Management.
